Pep Rally at Hanratty Fields - Thursday August 3, 2017

Our Community Leaders and the members of the EYLL Executive Board joined the team for a photo in front of the Scoreboard displaying number "4971".  It was a great night for all to celebrate our Little League State Champions and wish them well in the Regionals.   We would like to thank Elizabeth Councilman Nelson Gonazlez, Councilman Kevin Kiniery, Councilman Carlos Cedano, Assemblywoman Annette Quijano, Recreation Director Paul Addessa, County Manager Al Faella and our Mayor Chris Bollwage for attending the Pep Rally.  Councilman Carlos Torres also attended but did not get into the photo above.

Assemblywoman Quijano presented the team with a State resolution for each player congratulating them for their achievement.   County Manager Faella, who is a former league board member and coach congratulated the boys and encouraged them to have fun while reminding them that they are as good as any other team in the Regionals.  Our Mayor, a longtime supporter of our league and the driving force to build the Hanratty fields, congratulated the families, the league and the players for bringing another LL State Championship to a city that has been waiting 40 years since the last time E-Port LL won NJ.

Pastor Cedano wrapped up the night with a prayer for the team.  It was a beautiful send-off from the Elmora Youth Little League family.  Our team will make us proud in Rhode Island.  Their parents have done a great job the last 10 years preparing them for this moment.

Trooper Hanratty #4971 is our hometown hero.
