Elmora Youth League is a nonprofit organization based in Elizabeth, New Jersey, The league organizes recreation baseball and softball for the youth of the Elmora/Elizabeth area. The league is staffed by volunteer parents. EYL forms travel baseball and softball teams that participate in local summer tournaments. Summer team participants are selected from registered participants in the Spring season.

A group of EYL Baseball Players participated in the Memorial Weekend Tournament in Hoboken and won the event, "Great start to the Summer Season for our league." stated Coach Campbell.

The 10U and 14U Softball Girls captured PISL Championships. This is a first for the Elmora Youth League as no other team in the past had won a championship or a 2nd place award. 
In 2009, we have two champions and a runner up. What a year!

FALL BASEBALL RESULTS

In the 9 and 10 year old division, Kenilworth (#2 seed) took on Bayonne (#3 seed) in the semifinal game. It was a close game right until the end but Bayonne won 3-1. In the Championship game, Bayonne played Elmora (#1 seed). This game was scoreless until in the bottom of the 5th inning, Elmora broke through with 3 runs and won the championship 3-0

In the 11 and 12 year old division, Nutley(#3 seed) played Elmora #1 (#2 seed) in the first game. Nutley led until the bottom of the 6th inning when Elmora scored two runs and won 4-3. In the championship game versus Elmora #2, lightning struck again as Elmora #1 scored 2 runs in the top of the 6th inning to take a 5-4 lead, but Elmora #2 answered back with 2 runs of their own in the bottom of the 6th inning to win the championship.
