Elmora Youth League is a nonprofit organization based in Elizabeth, New Jersey, The league organizes recreation baseball and softball for the youth of the Elmora/Elizabeth area. The league is staffed by volunteer parents. EYL forms travel baseball and softball teams that participate in local summer tournaments. Summer team participants are selected from registered participants in the Spring season.

	Elmora Thunder heading to Districts

Smash Sisters Lead Thunder to District 7 Title

The "Smash Sisters" aka Aimee and Jocelyn Vega combined for four homeruns to lead the Elmora Thunder to the District 7 Junior Softball Title. Aimee batting second, hit a solo shot in the top of the first to give her team the early 1-0 lead. Jocelyn hit solo homers in the 3^rd and 4^th inning to extend the Thunder lead to 5 to 1. In the 5^th, Aimee hit a Grand Slam to punctuate a 9 run 5^th inning. The Thunder got solid pitching from Mayannah McIntosh who had 5 strikeouts with 2 walks to hold the opponent to two runs. Mayannah also hit a 3 run homer to compliment the Thunder offense. The girls are now off to the Sectional playoffs. Go Thunder!

	Our Softball Team is going back to the NJ State Tournament. Go Thunder! 2016 NJ Section 2 Champions The State Championship begins TUESDAY in Hoboken
