EYLL Policy on Game Reschedules.
Baseball and Softball are outdoor sports. The weather will impact the execution of the schedule. EYLL is a league of 37 teams playing on 5 fields. The schedule keeper is
well aware of the desire of all teams to play their games at the beautiful Hanratty and Sissleman fields. Unfortunately, that is not possible and therefore all teams are expected to play an appropriate portion of
their games in Warinanco Park.
To the EYLL Team Managers,
EYLL will reschedule and post new schedules shortly after the game is postponed.
The coaching staffs of both teams will receive an e-mail notifying them of the rescheduled date. The Team Manager is responsible for confirming their
acceptance within 48 hours. After 48 hours, the game is locked down and it will be played as rescheduled. We do not have an abundance of fields to wait for a response and we cannot lock down a
field slot only to find out that the Manager has an outside event scheduled. Please pay attention to the e-mails sent to you on reschedules.
The team managers must confirm each other about the reschedule. Since NO RESPONSE will be taken as confirmed, there could be cases where one team shows up and the other does
not. If a team shows up for a rescheduled game and their opponent does not show up, then BOTH teams will be awarded a DOUBLE
FORFEIT LOSS. This league is about playing the game and it is important that everyone involved in running the league work together to play it. Please explain
that goal clearly to the parents on your teams since they may be the ones chirping for the win.
The only way this process will work is if the Team Managers remain diligent in their timely response to the EYL Schedule Keeper. Every
individual team schedule is posted with confirmation details on rescheduled games. The rescheduled game summary will also show the status of confirmations with regards to these games.
Finally a note about the role of the TEAM COACHES. Please note that the schedule keeper includes the team coaches on the e-mails as a
courtesy only. The schedule keeper does NOT accept their input on schedules and reschedules. The team coach should share their issues on the schedule with their team manager. The schedule keeper does not wish to have several points of contact on each team. The schedule keeper only deals with the Team Manager. The Team Manager is responsible for the entire operation of the team, that person is the Head Coach and Head Administrator of the team.
Thank you for your Full Cooperation and understanding with this process.
