A clutch RBI Single down the right field line by Anthony Ramos gave the EYLLL Troopers the District Flag,

Down a run against a tough opponent, the 10-year-old EYLL were facing elimination in the final game for the District 7 championship.  The team scored a run in the bottom of the 4th inning to tie game at 1.  Hoboken roared back in the top of the 5th to take the lead and they shut out Elmora in the home half of the inning.

The final inning started with relief pitcher Luiggi Sacca hitting a single to center, he would eventually score the tying run on a RBI base on balls by Kenneth "KJ" Connelly.  EYLL loaded the bases with one out for Anthony Ramos.  He hit a walk off single down the right field line that secured the Championship for the Elmora Youth Little League 8 to 10 year old team.

The Elmora Youth LL squad got great pitching from starter Lucas Rivera who went 5 innings and struck out 5 with 2 earned runs.  Luiggi Sacca earned the victory in relief as he pitched a shutout in the top of the 6th inning.  He had help from Ezequiel Soto who turned a double play with Adrian Morales.  Luigi recorded a strikeout for the final out in his inning of work.

The win avenged an earlier defeat for EYL Tens at the hands of Hoboken.  On July 1, 2019, Hoboken beat EYLL 15-3 in four innings at a Jersey City location.  Team Manager Lou Sacca stated, "This put us in a bad spot forcing us to win three straight back to back games and having to face Hoboken twice in the final games."

The Troopers got to the game by beating Hoboken the previous night.  Ezequiel "EZ" Soto pitched a great game with five strikeouts and he allowed only two earned runs in five innings.  Luiggi Sacca finished off the sixth inning with a 1 2 3 shut out inning.  Elmora jumped out to a 4 nothing lead in the first inning and they never looked back.  Lucas Rivera went 3 for 4 with a triple, double and a single while notching four RBIs.  Luiggi Sacca went two for two with two RBIs.  Coach Lou stated, "It was a must win game and the boys came ready to play."
