The "Smash Sisters" aka Aimee and Jocelyn Vega combined for four homeruns to lead the Elmora
Thunder to the District 7 Junior Softball Title. Aimee batting second, hit a solo shot in the top of the first to give her team the early 1-0 lead. Jocelyn hit solo homers in the 3rd and 4th inning to extend the Thunder lead to 5 to 1. In the 5th,
Aimee hit a Grand Slam to punctuate a 9 run 5th inning. The Thunder got solid pitching from Mayannah McIntosh who had 5 strikeouts with 2 walks to hold the opponent to two runs. Mayannah also hit a 3 run homer to compliment the Thunder offense. The girls are now off to the Sectional playoffs. Go Thunder!
